John Daniel Guiney of the Piping Rock Club shot 68 on the third day at Westhampton CC on Thursday to win the 2017 Long Island Open; his 4 under par total of 206 won by 2 shots over Rob Corcoran of Poxabogue GC; Kyle Higgins of Inwood CC and Michael Furci of West Sayville GC tied for third, 4 shots further back.

Low Amateur Zachary Grossman

Zachary Grossman of South Fork CC was the low amateur at 215. Mark Brown

Mark Brown of the Tam O'Shanter Club and John Daniel Guiney of the Piping Rock Club posted two day totals of 138 to lead 38 other competitors who made the cut after Day Two of the 2017 Long Island Open at Westhampton CC on Wednesday. Brown shot the low round of the tournament so far with a sparkling 67, and Guiney had his second straight 69. The cut was at 148.

Matt Noel of Huntington CC, Rob Corcoran of Poxapogue GC, John Daniel Guiney of the Piping Rock Club and Kirk Oguri of The Greens at Half Hollow all shot rounds of 1 under par 69 on Tuesday to lead after one round

Led by Zack Brady of Atlantic Golf Club's 1-over-par 73, 22 competitors shot 80 or better in strong winds on Monday, May 15th

On Tuesday, May 9th at the Long Island Open qualifier on the Red Course at Bethpage State Park, 29 competitors shot 73 or better to qualify.
